Using the language of wine tasting, appearance, aroma, taste, finish, as a structure, the work deconstructs a single dish into its component parts. Each ingredient becomes its own note, rendered in still illustration and generative motion.
THE DISH
Lotus Root Chips with Larb Seasoning: crisp lotus root layered with the herbaceous, tangy, and savoury character of larb.
PEOPLE
Aria Ekasilapa is a New York-based Thai designer, architect, and researcher. Mengtists (Theerawat Klangjareonchai) is a creative technologist working across programming and art.
Saolea is a modern Thai-American wine bar in the West Village founded by Chollada Thongnoppakhun and Chef Tai Noppachai.
